July Ministry Moments…
- Don was able to speak in his own church in July. The Tuesday Business Lunch at First Baptist Pasadena was well attended and it was great to see dear faces of former parishioners. His time in Illinois was highly blessed. In fact, his message of hope has always been well received in Illinois. Yet it was in Iowa where thousands came to hear encouragement following devastating floods and storms there. Don spoke at a fundraiser in Spencer, Iowa where $12,000 was raised for victims. Following the momentous evening Don donated his own honorarium to the fund. A day at First Baptist Church Killeen, Texas, near Ft. Hood Army Base, proved to be a great blessing to so many who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families. A quick trip to Mississippi set records for attendance in churches where Don spoke. In fact, in every single venue more people came that could fit in each building. In one Iowa church, three times as many people came as the church could hold. Wow! God is doing amazing things!
